About

If you're reading this, chances are you are engaged.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

What an exciting time of your life. Also if you are reading this you might be looking for an officiate. That's where I come in. I officiate weddings and I love doing it.

My name is Wes and I love to officiate weddings! More than that, I love to be a part of the story of two people coming together to join their lives together. It's a beautiful thing and I can't get enough of it.

Picking an officiant for your wedding is a very important step. This person will be doing 90% of the talking at YOUR wedding. That's a lot. So you don't want just anyone. You want someone you connect with and trust. And that's always my goal.

I take the time to get to know you. I want to know your story. I want you to know mine. I want you to feel a connection so when I say the words, "You may be seated" and we begin one of the most important 15-25 minutes of your life, it will be a friend saying it, not a stranger.

I would love to chat more with you about your wedding. Feel free to browse my site to learn more about what I do. When you are ready, click the Contact button and let's schedule a time to grab some coffee to talk more.

Once again, congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Wes came highly recommended from our venue and was willing to Facetime with us to get to know us. My favorite compliments were that everyone thought that he had known us for years.

Christian

Wes pays attention to the little details and kept me and my wedding party on track throughout the rehearsal. He allowed my husband and I to really customize our ceremony to our liking and had our guests cracking up.

Emily

Tell people more about this item. Give peoplI wouldn’t consider us very a very religious couple and Wes was completely open to our ceremony being what we wanted it to be. Our ceremony was exactly what we pictured it to be and we had many guest share what beautiful things Wes had to say.

FAQs
  • Why do you love weddings?
The first wedding I ever officiated I was nervous. I was scared I was going to mess things up and call everyone by the wrong name. (I didn't.) What I learned at that first wedding was that weddings are even more beautiful when they happen right in front of you. I LOVE seeing the life transformation of a wedding. Two people coming together to commit their lives to each one another. It doesn't get much better than that!
  • What denomination are you?
I am not affiliated with any denomination.
  • Will you do a non-religious wedding?
Yes. My job at your wedding is to marry you. It's not for me to make a point or to preach. If you have multiple faiths present or you aren't religious, I am completely fine officiating a wedding for you and making it exactly how you want it.
  • What are your fees?
That depends on what you want. There are several different packages to choose from. There’s an elopement package, a ceremony package and rehearsal/ceremony package. Check out my package service options for more details on what each includes.
  • Do you come to the rehearsal?
I have packages where the rehearsal is included! Totally up to you.
  • How do I get my marriage license?
Once you are inside 30 days from your wedding, you can apply for your marriage license. You and your fiance will head to the local county clerk's office and bring 2 forms of government issued ID. (Social Security card and Driver's License.) Once there you will pay the application fee and sign the form. They will then hand you a manilla envelope (some counties give you a white envelope) and once you have that you are done! Just bring that to me at the rehearsal or wedding and I will take care of the rest. 15 minutes before the wedding I will sign the marriage license and then take it with me to mail off. I will give you back whatever I don't need that is in the envelope.
  • Do you require pre-marital counseling?
I do not require it, but I highly recommend going through pre-marital counseling. Not only do you get a discount on your marriage license, it's always good to talk. Pre-marital counseling requires you to talk about things that you wouldn't normally talk about and can help buld a strong foundation for your life together.
  • How long does your wedding message last?
That really depends on what you want! This is your day! If you didn't add anything to the template I set up for you, then it would last around 15 minutes.
  • How early do you come on the wedding day?
I typically arrive 1 hour before the wedding. That gives me plenty of time to check out final look of the venue, sound check and some hang time with the groomsman.
  • What do you wear to the wedding?
A suit. I typically will try and match what the groomsmen are wearing. So if they aren't wearing a jacket, I might take my jacket off as well. I don't want to be underdressed or overdressed.
  • What is your goal when you officiate a wedding?
Besides making sure you are legally married, my goal is to make sure the ceremony at your wedding is everything you dreamed it to be. This is YOUR wedding and it should happen how you have dreamed it would happen. This isn't about me or anyone else. It's OK to be a little selfish on your wedding day!
